With seven wins at Paris-Roubaix, the Roubaix has proven that Smoother is Faster. Until this moment, however, smooth has admittedly come with some compromises. But not anymore. The 2022 Specialized Roubaix Expert Road Bike now delivers compliance without compromise by introducing a radical new Future Shock 2.0 that gives you more control and damping options, a new Pavé seatpost that creates the most balanced Roubaix to date, aerodynamics that equal the Tarmac, and a Rider-First Engineered frame that’s shed some serious weight. Is it still comfortable? Sure, but don’t call it a comfort bike, because performance was behind every engineering decision. This is the new Roubaix.
For the build, the Expert is spec’d with Shimano Ultegra Di2 for its powerful hydraulic disc brakes and super crisp 11-speed shifting. Of course, you’ll be rolling on sturdy wheels courtesy of a Roval C38 wheelset.
- The new frame delivers compliance without compromise via the perfect balance of aerodynamics, light overall weight via a FACT 10r carbon construction, compliance, and Rider-First Engineering. With tube shapes that were born in the FreeFoil Shape Library and validated in the Win Tunnel, the new Roubaix is more aero than the Tarmac SL6. Meanwhile, to ensure the weight and ride quality, Specialized turned to a Rider-First Engineered design to deliver optimal stiffness and compliance across all sizes, from 44 to 64cm. Of course, the frame has shed some serious weight in the process. And to prep you for your own Hell of the North, weve made room for 33mm tires.
- To go along with the new frame, Specialized also developed a totally-new S-Works Pav seatpost. Not only is it the first compliant seatpost thats also aerodynamic, it does so without any additional weight or finicky contraptions. Starting with the same D-shape design found on the Tarmac, designerw took its compliance a step further by building additional flex into the upper and developing a new drop-clamp design in the frame. This provides plenty of compliance, while staying perfectly balanced with the front-end, so you get a smooth, balanced ride no matter how rough the road.

STANDARD SERVICE PLAN - ANALOG BIKE & ELECTRIC BIKE
The Standard Bike Service Plan is perfect for any cyclist interested in keeping their bike in great riding condition. It's designed for bikes that get low to moderate usage.
Bring your bike in for adjustments as often as you need. We will fix those annoying rattles, adjust brakes so they have full stopping power, lube your chain and cables, and true your wheels if they get out of alignment. Got an electric bike? We'll keep it updated with the latest firmware.
PERFORMANCE SERVICE PLAN - ANALOG BIKE & ELECTRIC BIKE
Is keeping your bike in peak performance important to you? The Performance Service Plan is designed for bikes that get moderate to heavy usage. Do you mountain bike often? Do you commute by bike regularly? Are you a gravel grinder? If yes, this plan is for you.
The Performance Service Plan contains all the elements of the Standard Bike Service Plan, including drivetrain lubrication, wheel truing, brake adjustments, and Di2 firmware updates. It also includes specialty services like disc brake bleed, front suspension oil change, rear shock air can service, and tubeless sealant replacement.
- The plan is not transferable to another customer.
- The plan is not transferable to another bicycle.
- All products must be physically brought to an ERIK'S location for work. No reimbursements for transportation or work done at non-ERIK'S locations are included.
- The cost of parts is NOT included. Service plans cover labor only (for example, tires, tubes, tire sealant, and cables are not included).
- A few select Performance Service Plan services can only be done one time per 12 months of the plan: disc brake bleed, front suspension oil change, rear shock air can service, and tubeless sealant replacement. (Two times total if the plan is two years in length.) If one of these services is needed more frequently, the standard labor charge will apply.
- A few select Performance Service Plan services can only be done from October through February: disc brake bleed, front suspension oil change, rear shock air can service, and tubeless sealant replacement. If one of these services is needed at other points in the year, the standard labor charge will apply.
- Service required as a result of misuse/abuse, rental/commercial use, racing, stunt riding or jumping, or alteration is not covered.
- Service plans are not available to purchase for used bikes and select new bikes.
- ERIK'S reserves the right to refuse service. The only solution is to refund the unused portion of the purchase price of the service plan.
- Whether a service or repair is covered under the plan is at the discretion of the management of ERIK'S.
