The 2023 Ride Smokescreen Snowboard is catered to the rider who wants to take their all-mountain skills to the next level without sacrificing anything in engineering innovation. The Directional Hybrid Rocker board comes equipped with Tapered Elliptical Progressive Sidecut to smooth out turns initiated with speed and Slimewalls to reduce vibration and dampen all the conditions that Mother Nature can throw your way. A Sintered, Stone Ground base sucks up wax to keep you mobbing all winter and Carbon Array 3™ gives you plenty of pop if there’s an obstacle you prefer to ollie instead of going around it. This board is all the smoke in every way and it’s ripe for the rippin’ this winter.
- Directional Hybrid Camber: A directional shape with a hybrid profile that has more camber than rocker.
- Elliptical Progressive Sidecut: Designed exclusively for the Commissioner, this sidecut combines tight elliptical curvature at the tip and tail to provide low-speed initiation and response with a larger radial section between the feet for high-speed stability and tracking.
- Sintered Base: High-end sintered 4000 Ptex base material that is more durable, harder and faster than extruded.
- Performance Core: High strength Aspen is combined with Bamboo and lightweight Paulownia wood to provide the perfect balance of strong and light.
- Slimewalls: RIDEs exclusive Slimewalls are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls smooths the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on. On top of all that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding.
- Roll-In Construction: Unique 3D structure built around urethane Slimewall sidewalls. Designed to increase overall board strength, prevent topsheet chipping, and reduce weight.
- Carbon Array Laminates: This power distribution technology provides total board control in every stance location. Widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channeled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control.
- Hybrid Glass: Triaxial on top, biaxial on base balanced torsional flex and stiffness for better response with speed.
- Impact Plates Laminates: Added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most.
- Topless Construction: By transferring graphics directly to the fiberglass, Topless Construction removes the need to have any topsheet material. This process improves overall durability and reduces weight.

PROFILE:
Rocker-Camber-Rocker
Camber- Best for carving and maintaining control and stability at speed on groomed runs or hard-pack with a lively responsive feel.
Rocker- Designed for quick turn initiation with a loose, surfy feel ideal for freestyle riding and fresh powder runs.
Flat- Versatile for various riding styles with balanced maneuverability and stability.
Hybrid- Is a combination of bends in the profile of a snowboard that change the riding characteristics for different terrains and conditions.
FLEX:
5 Flex
Soft Flex- 1-3 Flex. Forgiving and easier to apply pressure to while riding.
Medium Flex- 4-6 Flex. Versatile and responsive in varying conditions and terrain.
Stiff Flex- 7+ Flex. Less forgiving allowing for pressure to transfer edge to edge for a quick responsive board at high speeds.
RIDER LEVEL:
Intermediate-Advanced
Beginner- From a first-time rider to learning the foundations of carving and stopping.
Intermediate- A rider that has mastered the basics wants to explore riding different terrain or increasing speed.
Advanced/Expert- An experienced rider that can ride difficult terrain in any conditions.

- Extruded Base - Found on most beginner and freestyle snowboards. Durable and made to be easier to repair and maintain.
- Sintered Base - Absorbs and holds wax better for more custom tuning resulting in faster performance but does require more frequent wax application.

SHAPE
- Twin - The nose of the snowboard is the same shape and rise as the tail to ride the board in either direction and balanced freestyle riding.
- Directional Twin - The nose of the snowboard is the same shape and rise as the tail with the binding inserts set back for more surface area in the nose and versatility when riding in different snow conditions and terrain.
- Directional - The nose is typically longer and/or wider than the tail for float in powder and downhill riding.
