The 2024 Jones Frontier Snowboard is a directional freeride board designed to be the perfect daily driver for the playful all-mountain shredder. Featuring a floaty, freeride nose matched with a freestyle tail, the Frontier is ideal for pow days, park days and every day in between.
- Sintered 8000 Base
- New super durable material made from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene UHMW-PE and carbon. Base is easily repairable, highly wax absorbent and wicked fast.
- Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.
- Flip-Flop Base: Producing two or more base color options minimizes p-tex waste. Order may be filled with either color. Color does not vary by size.
- Bio Resin is a bio-based epoxy made with 27% plant-based carbon instead of petroleum-based carbon. The organic raw materials used to make bio-resin are co-products or waste products of plant-based industrial processes. Bio-resin requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions to produce than conventional epoxy.
- All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability.
- Forever Flex is a new manufacturing process that helps stabilise the flex and rocker of a board for its lifetime.
- Bio-plastic topsheet made from Castor beans. This eco-material is ultralight, chipscratch resistant and watersnow repellent snow sticks less to topsheet.
- Full wood premium poplar core offers fun pop, even flex and solid durability.
- Directional Rocker: A hybrid rockercamber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker then tail rocker and camber between the bindings. The rockered tip floats the boards nose and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. A slightly rockered tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps keep the tail catch-free initiating turns and landing switch.
- Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.
- Directional Flex Pattern: Off set tip-to-tail flex pattern that is designed for directional freeride boards. The nose, center of board and tail are slightly different stiffnesses to help lift the nose, sink the tail and improve stability at speed.

Camber- Best for carving and maintaining control and stability at speed on groomed runs or hard-pack with a lively responsive feel.
Rocker- Designed for quick turn initiation with a loose, surfy feel ideal for freestyle riding and fresh powder runs.
Flat- Versatile for various riding styles with balanced maneuverability and stability.
Hybrid- Is a combination of bends in the profile of a snowboard that change the riding characteristics for different terrains and conditions.
FLEX:
6 Flex
Soft Flex- 1-3 Flex. Forgiving and easier to apply pressure to while riding.
Medium Flex- 4-6 Flex. Versatile and responsive in varying conditions and terrain.
Stiff Flex- 7+ Flex. Less forgiving allowing for pressure to transfer edge to edge for a quick responsive board at high speeds.

Beginner- From a first-time rider to learning the foundations of carving and stopping.

- Extruded Base - Found on most beginner and freestyle snowboards. Durable and made to be easier to repair and maintain.
- Sintered Base - Absorbs and holds wax better for more custom tuning resulting in faster performance but does require more frequent wax application.

MOUNTING
The insert formation on the snowboard determines if a binding is compatible, how it is mounted, and your range of stance options.

- Twin - The nose of the snowboard is the same shape and rise as the tail to ride the board in either direction and balanced freestyle riding.
- Directional Twin - The nose of the snowboard is the same shape and rise as the tail with the binding inserts set back for more surface area in the nose and versatility when riding in different snow conditions and terrain.
- Directional - The nose is typically longer and/or wider than the tail for float in powder and downhill riding.
