Bryan Iguchi’s endless pursuit of shred enlightenment has launched Arbor into a new conceptual design dimension. Achieving his vision of ultimate balance—where fun and friendly meets solid and stable—meant rethinking long-held, binary design concepts. By unlocking previously unexplored frontiers and bending space-time, Arbor has fused parabolic rocker with parabolic camber to create its first-of-its-kind dual-parabolic profile. The result is the Astrowaste, a board that delivers a cosmic ride unlike anything previously experienced in the Arbor universe. Its directional and cambered warp-speed design recalibration is engineered with a unique set of System technologies including updated Grip Tech and 3D fenders that are built to explore terrain through a shifted perception and evolved perspective of control, float, and flow. Shaped by science and fueled by imagination, balance is no longer a theory. It’s the Astrowaste.
- An intersecting blend of parabolic camber and rocker that combines easy turn initiation with powerful precise control.
- Grip Tech adds heel and toe contact points that significantly enhance edge control on snow and ice. This design creates a more responsive connection to the snow improving overall grip and reaction time. It allows Arbor's rocker boards to maintain strong edge hold while giving camber boards more reliable edge performance.
- Fenders are slight 3D lifts at the leading and trailing edges of a snowboard. On camber boards they ease turn initiation without compromising the full-length camber profile - maintaining pop and power while adding versatility and smoother handling. On rocker boards Fenders enhance float in deep snow improving overall performance in powder.
- Made from sustainably sourced wood and bamboo Arbor's natural fiber topsheets are central to the performance aesthetic and values that define the brand. Every Powerply is crafted through a responsible process that minimizes environmental impact while ensuring long-term durability and quality.
- Castor bean-derived topsheet reduces petroleum reliance while offering high durability water resistance and environmental performance.
- Arbor snowboards utilize Bio-Resin a high-performance bio-based epoxy system that replaces traditional petroleum-derived resins without compromising mechanical strength adhesion or durability. Sourced from industrial co-products and waste streams Bio-Resin is manufactured using green chemistry methods that reduce its carbon footprint by up to 40% compared to standard petroleum-based alternatives.
- A 10/20 Poplar/Paulownia blend delivers reduced weight improved snap and enhanced responsiveness underfoot.
- A 360-degree fully wrapped sidewall ensures tight tolerances enhancing overall board durability and lifespan.
- Versatile triax-over-biax fiberglass layup balances response and flex across pow groomers jumps and backcountry terrain.
- High molecular weight sintered base delivers superior durability wax retention and long-lasting speed performance.

SHAPE
- Twin - The nose of the snowboard is the same shape and rise as the tail to ride the board in either direction and balanced freestyle riding.
- Directional Twin - The nose of the snowboard is the same shape and rise as the tail with the binding inserts set back for more surface area in the nose and versatility when riding in different snow conditions and terrain.
- Directional - The nose is typically longer and/or wider than the tail for float in powder and downhill riding.
