Got a new bike? You’ll want to make sure your saddle is set to the correct height for you. Watch our video to learn how to do this in a few easy steps!
First, if your bike has Rear Suspension, you’ll need to set the correct SAG (learn how here). Additionally, if your bike has a Dropper Post, be sure it’s in the fully extended position.
Then follow these instructions:
Our Cycling Shorts Buying Guide is worth a read as well. In addition to a great bike saddle, cycling shorts can increase your ability to ride longer comfortably.
Our Bike Sizing Guide is also a good resource to reference, especially if you set your bike seat height but are still not quite feeling right when riding. Your bike may not be the right size!
Lastly, if you came across this post because you just bought a new bike online (congrats!) and you’re assembling it. Be sure to check out our Bike Assembly Blog for a great video walking you through essential steps for putting your bike together properly.
Hopefully, your bike seat is now at the perfect height! If something doesn’t quite feel right, however, swing into your nearby ERIK’S, and our expert staff will give you a hand! And, if you want to upgrade your bike saddle, check out our awesome inventory here! We’ve got a bike seat for every body type and personal need.
