Specialized is launching the 2023 Sirrus X 5.0 model with a revolutionary new frame, returning to their “Innovate or Die” mantra. Who Is This Bike For?

If you’re looking to take the road less traveled the Sirrus X 5.0 will be the steed for you. With the same great compliance characteristics paired with wider, knobbier tires you can venture wherever your heart desires. The thing this bike doesn’t excel at is full off-road and single-track riding. Sirrus X 5.0 Double Diamond Frame

The new 2023 carbon Sirrus frame is an eye-catcher, to say the least. Not only does it look good, it feels good. The double diamond design with a floating seat tube is designed to flex, acting as a form of suspension to eat up bumps on the road, or trail. However, it only flexes when needed and remains stiff enough to not sacrifice power transfer through the pedals. For even more comfort, both models also come equipped with Specialized’s Future Shock 1.5 which suspends the handlebars with 20mm of travel to reduce fatigue on your hands and arms, especially on bumpy streets or gravel roads. 

Drivetrain & Brakes

The Specialized Sirrus X 5.0 features a SRAM 1x drivetrain with a wide range of gears so you can climb the steepest slopes and speed through the flats. The 1x design requires less maintenance as there is only one shifter to take care of. Speaking of low maintenance, it also comes with hydraulic disc brakes that only need to be serviced once or twice a year under normal circumstances.
