Big news: Super73 electric bikes are now at ERIK’S! We’re thrilled to partner with this exciting brand and add a whole new e-biking experience to our lineup.
In a nutshell, Super73 makes moto-style fat-tire e-bikes that they call “the ultimate adventure vehicle.” Join us as we dive into Super73’s history, the models we’re selling and their electrifying ride feels, and what makes Super73 bikes unique.
Super73: A Brand Born from Adventure
Those who are already familiar with Super73 probably know how quickly the company rose to popularity. It was founded in 2016 with the mission to make electric bicycles “imbued with style, speed, and spirit.”
From an early Kickstarter campaign and a first batch of 25 bikes, Super73 suddenly grew into a viral sensation with over 500 orders. Those who joined the adventure early on popularized Super73 on social media, with custom bikes designed for celebrities like Post Malone and Madonna. Group rides in Orange County soon spread throughout the country, and nine years later, Super73 continues to innovate in the world of e-biking.
The Bikes: Distinct Models for Different Types of Riding
In the past, ERIK’S didn’t carry Super73 because their products were closer to unregulated mopeds than electric bikes. They weren’t capped at a maximum speed, so they were illegal to ride on many bike paths and didn’t comply with national standards for electric biking.
Earlier this year, however, Super73 introduced a firmware update that caps all up-to-date models at 20 mph, making them Class 2 e-bikes. This means all new bikes Super73 produces (or older ones that customers have updated) are now true, compliant e-bikes.
It also means ERIK’S can stock three unique model lines that offer exceptional riding experiences. Take a look at the Super73 models that ERIK’S will be selling in-store below.
Brand-New November 10: Super73 MZFT
Super73's MZFT lineup features street-legal Class 2 e-bikes with a top speed of 20mph. MZFT e-bikes are Super73's first offerings with 16" wheels and their first bikes using Super73's Next-Gen Technology. Among other features, that includes:
- 500W motor
- 520 Wh battery with a range of about 20 miles (with an additional 520 Wh battery available to double the runtime!)
- Modular battery architecture (uses independent, standardized battery modules that can be added or removed to scale energy storage capacity)
- Thumb throttle
- Internal lockable storage
- USB-C charging
- Thru-axel architecture
What does that mean for you? Basically, these are fun, low-maintenance, stylish e-bikes perfect for enjoying the ride to and from school, work, or just around town. As Super73 says, it's "a rebellious little bike with a big personality." The durable aluminum frame means you can trust MZFT to take you wherever you need to go and withstand whatever you put it through—and look good doing so.

Z-Series: Easy-Riding Explorers
Super73’s Z-Series is for casual adventurers, with models geared for either on-road or off-road riding. These are great for urban explorers, close to single-speed commuter bikes. Although Super73 bikes tend to be a little heavier, the Z-Series is comparatively lightweight among their lineup. For those new to the world of e-biking who still want to roam in comfort and style, the Z-Series is for you.

S-Series: Icons in the Making
The S-Series is Super73’s most popular lineup, focused on urban riding. These bikes have a relatively powerful battery (about 960W) and hydraulic brakes, as well as an 8-speed drivetrain on the Adventure version. Super73 refers to the S-Series as “our most iconic and recognizable e-bikes.”

R-Series: The Off-Road Is Calling
Super73’s R-Series e-bikes are more rugged and off-road ready, featuring knobby tires and a full-suspension design. This is the choice if your thirst for adventure leads you on farther, more daring routes.
What Super73 Fans Are Saying
There’s a reason (actually, a few reasons!) Super73 bikes have exploded in popularity over the last nine years. The fans have spoken, and this is what they love about Super73’s fun and speedy electric bikes:
-
Iconic designs – Super73’s moto-style design is instantly recognizable and popular among young riders.
-
Reliable specs – Just because Super73 bikes have a quirky look, that doesn’t mean they lack power or durability. These bicycles have a high load capacity (about 325 lbs.), a maximum range of 75 miles (on some models), and highly capable motors that can reach peak power outputs of 1200W or even 2000W, depending on the model and riding mode.
-
Strong community – Super73’s strong fan base and social media following is partly due to the thriving community among Super73 e-bike riders, with group rides, custom builds, and a creative look creating an avid following.
There are other reasons why Super73 has quickly become one of the most popular niche e-bike brands. Stop into your local ERIK’S and test-ride an option today!

Super73 FAQs
Will Super73 electric bicycles have an assembly fee?
Yes. There is a $99 assembly fee.
Can I have a Super73 bike shipped to my home?
No. You can buy a Super73 e-bike from ERIK’S website, but it will have to be picked up at one of our store locations.
Will ERIK’S technicians service Super73 e-bikes (either purchased from ERIK’S or elsewhere)?
ERIK’S will service all Super73 bikes with firmware newer than January 1, 2025 (this is the update that capped the speed at 20 mph, essentially making all Super73 bikes Class 2). All Super73 e-bikes sold at ERIK’S will have this firmware update.
We will not service Super73 e-bikes with older firmware due to safety concerns and to avoid accidentally updating firmware on a bike where a customer wishes to keep it unlocked.
Are Super73 e-bikes heavy?
Yes, they are comparatively a little heavier than many other e-bikes, though some (especially Z-Series bikes) are on the lighter side. The range for Super73 e-bike weights is 60-88 lbs. When loading a Super73 bicycle onto a car rack, you’ll probably want to use a Hollywood hitch rack like the Sport Rider SE.
Can I pedal a Super73 e-bike without electric assist mode?
You can, but it will probably be difficult. Super73 bikes’ heavy frames and (in some cases) single-speed geometry make manual pedaling inefficient.
