Santa Cruz releases the Megatower!

Santa Cruz just launched their newest 29er Full Suspension trail bike, the Megatower!

The rear shock is mounted to the lower link of the VPP system. This mounting location allows riders to use either air or coil shocks, depending on their preferences or riding style. This linkage also provides a dialed-in, progressive shock rate to give you unparalleled traction and bottom-out protection against those big hits. You even have enough room for a water bottle cage, even with a piggyback shock!

To make Megatower even more capable, Santa Cruz added a couple of really cool adjustments that a rider can use to set their bike up for the conditions in their area or wherever they may take their Megatower.

There is a hidden flip chip in the lower link that can be adjusted to adjust the bottom bracket height up or down 3.5mm while also changing the progressivity of the rear suspension.

A second adjustment is located in the rear dropouts, allowing you to adjust the chainstay length 10mm fore or aft. This adjustment ability will allow you to change how your weight is distributed over the back of the bike and lets you choose if you want Megatower to be mega playful or mega stable!

These adjustments allow you as the rider to tune your Megatower to fit your needs!

With a steep seat tube angle of 76°, Megatower isn’t as much of a bear to climb on as other bikes with this much travel. With a 65° headtube angle, point this thing down and let ‘er rip!

And, don’t forget, Santa Cruz Bicycles provides replacement suspension pivot bearings at no cost to the original owner for the life of the bike!

Check out all of the Santa Cruz bikes at shopERIKS.com and Megatower will be stocked at select ERIK’S locations!
