Product Description

Specialized created the 2022 Allez Sprint Comp Road Bike by cannibalizing the Tarmac SL7. They tore the Tarmac apart, and rebuilt it from alloy with Smartweld technology. They leveraged every innovation and insight learned during its development to create this all-new Allez Sprint. Whether chasing a National title or attacking your buddies 15 minutes into an *easy* Sunday spin, Specialized won’t be offended if people mistake the Allez for a Tarmac SL7. Some may
call it a carbon copy, they call it the World’s First Alloy Super Bike.

Being the most advanced alloy road bike Specialized has ever made, and one that often out-performs the carbon fiber bikes of other brands, the Allez Sprint is capable as a crit-racing tool or an everyday road steed. But even better, it performs all of the above at a price that's affordable for any racer's budget. For the build, this Allez meshes performance and value with Shimano 105 shifting and hydraulic disc brakes, DT R470 Disc alloy wheels, and a fan-favorite Body Geometry Power Sport saddle.

  • The Allez Sprint is the fastest alloy road bike in history, thanks to the time its sibling, the Tarmac SL7, spent in the wind. It’s details like the most complex alloy head tube they’ve ever made and integrated cables that make it 41 seconds faster over 40km than the previous Allez Sprint. That’s a hell of a facelift. With 41 seconds, you’d have a podium picture in your Insta feed, just saying.
  • Whether you’re launching a sprint out of the final corner or attacking from the gun like a young Italian at the Giro, the Allez Sprint, with its one-piece bottom bracket and downtube, delivers the ruthless efficiency of alloy with unprecedented stability. By balancing power at the pedals with input at the bars, the Allez Sprint keeps you fast and confident on the limit.
  • Dive for the winning gap, bang elbows in the final meters, dissect the most technical descents, all without feeling like you’ve gone ten rounds with the heavyweight champ. Dropped seat stays, and the Tarmac SL7’s carbon seat post and fork make the Allez Sprint supple in the saddle and precise at the bars—all with Tarmac SL7's World Championship-proven geometry. It’s as comfy as it is beautiful. Well, almost.
  • One innovation over any other helps deliver the new Allez Sprint’s aerodynamics, power transfer, and handling—Smartweld. Making the fastest bikes in the world out of carbon wasn’t hard enough. Specialized hydroformed the bottom bracket and down tube from a single piece of alloy, built their most complex alloy head tube ever, and then put it all together with Smartweld. It’s what makes the Allez Sprint the first alloy super bike

Carbon Copy
Carbon Copy
Specialized took every innovation and insight learned developing the Tarmac SL7 and rebuilt it from alloy with Smartweld technology to create the all-new Allez Sprint. Whether chasing a National title or attacking your buddies 15 minutes into an easy Sunday spin, we won’t be offended if you mistake the Allez for a Tarmac SL7. Some may call it a carbon copy, they call it the World’s First Alloy Super Bike.
41 Seconds Faster
The Allez Sprint is the fastest alloy road bike in history, thanks to all the time its sibling, the Tarmac SL7, spent getting beat up in the Win Tunnel. The most complex alloy head tube Specialized ever made, integrated cables, and tube shapes borrowed from the Tarmac SL7 make it 41 seconds fast- er over 40km than the previous Allez Sprint Disc.

Optimized Power Transfer
Optimized Power Transfer
The Allez Sprint won’t waste your energy. We all know the feeling of riding a bike that feels disjointed, a bunch of tubes stuck together but not working together. Optimized power transfer means your bike is in perfect harmony with your body. When you’re banging elbows and fighting for position north of 1000 watts, all you need to do is put the power down.
SMARTWELD: The Future of Alloy
To take alloy to the next level, Specialized couldn’t be tied down to how alloy bikes are supposed to be made. Smartweld bikes look different so they will perform differently. The Allez Sprint is the fastest alloy bike in the world, thanks to its groundbreaking headtube and one- piece bottom bracket, all made possible by D’Aluisio Smartweld. Specialized pushed Smartweld to new heights on the Allez Sprint headtube by moving the welds back, away from the traditional weld points at the tube junctions. Moving the welds removed redundant material from the headtube, promoted a uniform result across all the bikes they built, and minimized strain on high-stress areas of the bike, ensuring every rider feels the same stunning ride quality for a lifetime of riding. They're still welding in a valley for a stronger, more integrated weld, just doing it in the best possible position to create quality welds that deliver the best ride quality and stand the test of time and road. The one-piece bottom bracket and downtube are the second pieces of the puzzle. Hydroformed from a single piece of alloy, it eliminates unnecessary welds and maximizes power transfer and structural integrity. It was time to rethink what was possible with alloy. Alloy isn’t car- bon, but that doesn’t mean it’s just a budget material. Moving the head tube welds to maximize Smartweld’s potential is one of the innovations that make the Allez Sprint the first true alloy super bike. Specialized wasn’t going to sacrifice performance to make the Allez Sprint look like an exact replica of carbon super bikes when it uses entirely different materials and construction methods. It’s alloy and they’re proud of it, why hide it?
