Is the all-new Specialized Tero an electric mountain bike? The most capable commuter bike ever? Or is it the ultimate SUV of bikes?
The short answer is YES! This badass electric bike gives you the power to ride anywhere – whether that’s singletrack, gravel roads, or to grab groceries.
With the mountain bike-specific geometry, developed from bikes that handle the most brutal terrain imaginable at World Championship winning speeds, the Tero blurs the line between e-Active and e-MTB. It is the perfect bike for the rider who wants to ride everywhere.
The Tero delivers an experience of unrivaled power, confidence, and versatility. This bike is ready to spend a day on the trails, then get wiped down and head to whatever else you throw at it.
The Alloy frame, 29 x 2.35” Ground Control tires, suspension fork, and dropper post will rip your favorite MTB trails. This is a mountain bike. But with front rack, rear rack, and full fender capability, you can use the Tero to haul whatever you need… off or on the trails.
This bike is made to create a confident, surefooted, stable, fast, and fun ride! In other words, the Tero handles everything from hauling your gear to a state park or the grocery store, to climbing monster hills and conquering your favorite MTB trails.
The new Specialized Tero is powered by the 2.2 and 2.0E motors. The 2.2 motor is the same physical motor as the new 2.1 system, providing 565 watts of max power and a max torque of 90nm, but with a Mountain specific firmware tune. This setup allows the bike to provide the power and confidence that trails demand.
The new Specialized Tero is compatible with the Mission Control app. This means you’ll be able to fully tune your motor output, view your riding metrics, and perform basic system diagnostics.
Most importantly, Mission Control lets you fight Range Anxiety by using the Spart Control feature. Simply tell Mission Control how far you want to go or how long you want to ride, and Smart Control will adjust your motor output so that you get back with juice left in the tank!
Enabled via the Mission Control app, the Turbo System Lock provides another layer of security to go along with your physical bike lock. The system lock disables the motor and activates the bike’s motion sensor. This sensor, when triggered, will sound an alarm and flash the lights until you disable it through the Mission Control app or enter a unique pin.
With the sleek new computer nestled on the handlebars, you can easily display the information you need at a glance. The Cadence Coach will help you stay in the perfect cadence zone to get all you can out of your bike as you pedal. With the on-the-fly microtuner, you can also change your bike as you ride, without accessing the app.
The new display is customizable through the Mission Control app as well.
