One Of ERIK’S Largest Stores Opening In Oak Brook, IL!

ERIK’S is excited to announce the opening of our new shop in Oak Brook, Illinois, on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

“The new Oak Brook store is really amazing! Customers will be blown away by the massive selection of bikes and electric bikes. There’s so much awesome gear and bikes that we needed two levels! And anyone interested in electric bikes will love the huge e-bike inventory,” said Erik Saltvold, ERIK’S founder and owner. “We see Oak Brook as a flagship store that will support and help grow the cycling community in the western Chicago metro area!”

The new store is one of ERIK’S largest at over 16,000 square feet on two levels. The store has hundreds of bikes and electric bikes, plus cycling gear and apparel, skateboards, longboards, and scooters. For winter enthusiasts, the store will stock a primo selection of snowboards, downhill skis, snowshoes, and winter apparel! ERIK’S also has an expert service department for bikes and electric bikes, skis, and snowboards.

The unique two-level space is different from any other ERIK’S store. The first floor is almost 7,000 square feet and has a dedicated electric bike showcase with up to 100 electric bikes on hand. The 2nd floor offers over 9,000 square feet of space. It has distinguishable areas for all of the different cycling categories that we offer, including road, gravel, mountain, recreational and fitness riding, BMX bikes, kid’s bikes, and more! It’s truly cycling nirvana! And, next winter, you will be blown away by our winter selection, too!

The new store is located just south of Butterfield Road and across Hwy 83 from the Oakbrook Shopping Center at 1600 16th Street. The shop is less than 4 miles south of the Great Western & Illinois Prairie Path trails. This is ERIK’S third store in the Chicago metro area. The other locations include Deerfield and Skokie.

Dave Olson, ERIK’S President and Partner, has family ties in the area as well. Less than 10 miles west of the new Oak Brook store, Dave’s grandfather and uncle, Robert and Eddie Olson, owned Olson’s Men’s Shop. “It’s a great community around here. It is very exciting to be opening a shop right down the road from where my family had their business!” said Dave.
