K2 Clicker X HB Snowboard Boots + Bindings System

K2 Clicker X HB Snowboard Boots and Bindings

The biggest bummer when it comes to snowboarding is getting into and out of your bindings. And, in areas like the Midwest, we’re constantly strapping in and out, dozens of times a day! Thankfully, K2 has developed the Clicker X HB binding and boot system that makes that process a click!

The K2 Clicker X HB system is built for snowboarders that cannot and will not sacrifice performance and feel for the convenience of easy in and out. Let’s get into the hows and whys.

Everything you need to know about the K2 Clicker System!

K2 Clicker X HB Snowboard Bindings

The Clicker X HB Bindings are a nylon composite binding with a full, fiberglass reinforced nylon highback providing you with a good amount of stiffness with just the right amount of flex. There is also an adjustable aluminum heel cup.

Your boots are secured to the bindings with metal toe and heel mounting points that match the cleats on the boots and there is an easy-to-grab release lever to let you out. By placing the mounts at the very front and back of the binding and boots, the edge-to-edge response is super quick, and the board feels like you are using traditional strap-in bindings.

There is a convenient forward lean adjuster that allows you to adjust your stance right on the hill without any tools.

The footbed of the Clicker X HB bindings is canted 3° to keep your feet, legs, and hips in a more natural position and to better support your outside foot for more control and less fatigue.

The entire footbed is covered by EVA foam that helps to dampen the ride and absorb big impacts.

The Clicker X HB Bindings are available in men’s and women’s versions.

K2 Maysis Clicker X HB Snowboard Boots

K2 developed their tried-and-true Maysis boot to be used with the Clicker X HB step-in system.

On the sole, you can see the step-in hardware with a cleat in the front and a catch at the back. This is where you attach to your bindings. These mounts are fully recessed into the sole of the boot so that they don’t get in the way of walking when you’re off the board.

The sole has a natural “rocking” shape built into them that allows your feet to rock in the binding a bit, simulating how you feel in almost any other binding system.

Inside the boot is the Conda liner system that uses a urethane harness and boa system to cradle your ankle inside the boot, keeping your heel in place. This is all adjusted using the micro-adjustable Boa dial on the side of the boot.

Outside the boot, the Maysis Clicker X HB Boots use the H4 Coiler Boa fit system on the front of the boot that focuses on the forefoot to really lock you into the boot.

The Maysis Clicker X HB has an articulated cuff that gives you a natural feeling of flex and the ENDO Construction gives you amazing durability and longevity that will deliver many seasons of performance.

The Intuition liner is heat moldable to perfectly fit your foot and the power strap keeps everything locked in and secure!

So, How Do They Work?

It’s super simple and if you’ve ever used clipless pedals on a bike, it’ll feel perfectly natural. Start by pointing your toe into the binding until you feel the cleat catch on the binding. Then, step down to engage the heel latch. Once you are in the bindings, flip the latch to the side to lock in the binding.

Once you’re in, you can feel that the Clicker X HB system feels just like a traditional two-strap system. The mounting points at the toe and heel deliver an amazing edge-to-edge response and the rocked-out sole lets you roll side to side naturally.

To get out, unlock the latch and lift up on the lever, and, you’re out!
