2020 Specialized Roubaix

Specialized has just released the , redesigned, Roubaix Endurance Road Bike!

Improved Aesthetics. Using rider feedback, Specialized improved the lines of the all-new Roubaix. The headtube and fork have been streamlined for a new, cleaned-up look!

Smoother is Faster! Introduced on the previous generation of Roubaix, the Future Shock gave riders 20mm of Axial Compliance to keep the front wheel firmly planted on the ground for better control and provides the rider with a remarkably compliant ride. This keeps riders safer and more comfortable for many, many miles!

Future Shock 2.0. The all-new Future Shock 2.0 features a single-circuit damper that uses an oil port to control both the compression and rebound damping. The result is a remarkably smooth feel as you move through the Future Shock’s 20mm of travel.

Easily Adjustable Compression. With a turn of the adjuster knob that is conveniently located on the top of the stem, riders can firm up the Future Shock 2.0. Future Shock 2.0 is available on S-Works, Pro, and Expert models.

Future Shock 1.5. Comp, Sport, and Base Roubaix models get a revised booster spring Future Shock. The suspension engineers made some upgrades to the feel of the original Future Shock, giving it a better bottom-out and top-out feel. Future Shock 1.5 does not feature a compression adjustment knob.

All New Pave Seatpost w/Drop Clamp. All of the new Roubaix models get the new Pave , which replaces the . The new Pave shares the same aerodynamic D-shape as the post that is used on Tarmac models. N only is it aero, but it is also compliant. The is designed to deflect as the rider hits the rough stuff, providing the perfect compliance compliment to the Future Shock!

Aero is Everything. Specialized is known for making some of the most aerodynamic bikes on the market. Over the years of designing and testing new tube shapes, Specialized has built up an extensive “ Library” of aerodynamic tube shapes. The team at Specialized pulled from this library to design the Roubaix.

The result? The new Roubaix is 14 seconds faster than the previous design and even faster than the Tarmac SL6!

Lighter is Faster, Too! It’s always better to be lighter. By redesigning the tube shapes of Roubaix, the Specialized engineers shaved 50 grams off of the previous S-Works Roubaix. But, that’s not where the biggest gains (or losses, you decide) are made! At the Comp level, the new Roubaix is a full 140 grams more than the previous generation!

Increased Tire Clearance. All Roubaix models come with 700 x 28c tires installed. Have no fear, you wide-tire enthusiasts! The new frame has clearance for a 700 x 33, should you want to plump things up!

All the Way! Riders don’t have to purchase the highest level of Roubaix to take advantage of these aerodynamic improvements! All models, from S-Works all the way to Base, get the same shaping to the frame!

Beyond Gender. All of the new Roubaix models are designed for riders, not genders. Built by using years of data and thousands of professional bike fits, Specialized and RETUL have built the all New Roubaix around the Beyond Gender platform! From size 44 all the way up to size 64, all of the new Roubaix models will share the same Rider-First geometry, regardless of your gender!
