- ERIK’S is excited to announce an agreement with BikeSource to purchase their two Kansas City locations. The two BikeSource Kansas City locations will join the ERIK’S collection of 24 locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin. BikeSource will continue to independently operate their existing locations in Denver, Columbus and Charlotte.

The two locations that are part of the agreement are the Leawood (3701 W. 95th Street) and Overland Park (11500 W. 135th Street) stores. The existing staff will continue to manage the stores.
ERIK’S was founded by Erik Saltvold in his parents’ barn in 1977 when he was only 13-years-old and he still owns 100% of the company today. ERIK’S has grown into a collection of award winning stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and soon to be Kansas! A. No, We will be talking with all current BikeSource staff about continuing on with ERIK’S. You will continue to see the great staff at BikeSource!

A. Once the transaction is complete, the stores will be rebranded to ERIK’S and the BikeSource Kansas City name will be phased out.

A. We will continue to honor any discounts that have been arranged for the remainder of the season. We also intend to continue the relationships that have worked so well for both teams, clubs, members and BikeSource. We believe that this has been a strength at BikeSource and we are eager to maintain and/or enhance these relationships and programs.
