Get real, hands-on experience from professional bicycle mechanics and leave feeling confident with your new skills. Please note: Class format is prepared for students who are 16 years old and over.

Do you want to learn how to fix a flat tire? When do I lube my chain? Learn these critical maintenance tips and more: how to clean your bike, make simple adjustments and when and where to lubricate your bike. Each class participant will learn how to fix basic maintenance issues on their own bike! Attendees are expected to bring their own bike to work on. Areas of the bike that will be discussed:
  • Tire and Tube Service
  • Chain Cleaning and Lubrication

  • Safety Inspection

Erik's Park Tool School Open Shop Night is for customers who want to work on their bike in a professional shop environment with access to further instruction as necessary. The Clinic is a guided work night that will cover maintaining, repairing or installing product. Participants will have access to all the shop tools found in Erik's Service Training Facility and instruction on their proper use. There is no formal curriculum for this class as it will be geared towards individual participants needs. Attendees are expected to bring their own bike to work on.

Get your hands dirty learning more about bike maintenance. This is an excellent class for someone with a relatively modern or brand new bike who wishes to learn about maintenance. Attendees are expected to bring their own bike to work on. Areas of the bike that will be discussed:
  • Basic Bicycle Maintenance
  • Tires & Tubes
  • Hub, Rear Sprockets & Headsets
  • Wheel Truing & Pedals
  • Chains, Cranks & Bottom Brackets
  • Derailleur Systems
  • Rim Caliper Brake Systems

An intensive hands-on class which focuses on the bearings and hubs of your bike. Gain a better understanding of the importance for bearing overhauls, an industry recommendation every 2000 - 3000 miles or 2 years. Attendees of this class should have a basic understanding of bike operation and maintenance. Attendees are expected to bring their own bike to work on. Areas of the bike that will be discussed:
  • Front and Rear Hubs
  • Headset
  • Bottom Bracket
