The 2008 Twin Cities Bike Map is hot off the press. The newest edition, number 9, is printed on tear and water resistant paper so it will hold up to sweaty jersey pockets, endless folding and the wear and tear of carrying it in your panniers.
The Twin Cities Bike Map is the map most used and referred to by Twin Cities bicyclists. It's really two maps in one, On one side you'll find a detailed map of Minneapolis/St. Paul and the inner ring suburbs. The large-scale map lays out the most direct, low traffic routes and paths through every part of the core cities. Wherever possible, it incorporates streets near parks, rivers and lakes. The map is fine grained, with virtually every road clearly shown. It makes even the most densely populated parts of the Twin Cities easy to navigate by bicycle.
The Metro side of the map covers the seven county Greater Twin Cities from the St. Croix River to west of Lake Minnetonka and from Hastings to Marine on the St. Croix . Thousands of miles of bike trails and bike friendly roads take you anywhere in the Metro area. We've made hundreds of adjustments to reflect the continually changing environment for bicyclists. We've also made a number of design changes to create a more readable map and to clear up potentially confusing intersections. ItÕs all part of a commitment, made in 1984, to keep you riding on the best roads and trails in town.
