Raleigh has been making the XXIX for a few years and it has always been a popular bike, after all what is not to like about a 29 inch single speed, chromoly framed rigid mountain bike? Well the XXIX just got a whole bunch better. The 2011 Raleigh XXIX 29er Mountain Bike still features everything that made the previous XXIX's a hit, but with the huge addition of Belt Drive. The Gates Belt Drive system greatly reduces the maintenance associated with a standard bike drive train (i.e. cleaning your chain), is much quieter (helping you achieve your Zen flow easier) and cleaner (goodbye chainring oil tattoos). Plus it looks super cool too.
